Gift is a portrait of a woman who travels to the edge of the world. The story focuses on themes of otherness and distance as well as everyday life in the village.

Gift was filmed in Gjesvaer located next to the North Cape in Norway. The barren landscape and special light of the northern region connects with the themes of the film. The atmosphere and people of the place made the last touches to the final story which in the end contains hope.
